For a pet owner, the comfort of our furry friends is a top priority. So it is important to me that they have a space that is cozy and feels like their own while also looking good.

Over the years of trying to arrange and rearrange my living room to accommodate a dog bed, I have learned some decorating tips that help me meet both of those goals. These adorable pet beds that also serve as tables are one of my favorite discoveries.

Stylish Living Room Nooks

If you’ve got room for an end table in your living room, you’ve definitely got room for your pet’s bed too. These are the kinds of beds or crates that were designed with both your pet and your decor in mind.

I absolutely love these wooden tables that double as dog crates, featured on Daanii. They just prove that functionality can be gorgeous.

PinnacleWC is an Etsy shop you have to see if you’re shopping for a great-looking dog crate. What’s cool is that the two featured here are actually roomy enough for some bigger dog breeds.

DIY Network showed off a dog bed that’s totally upholstered inside with flannel fabric. What a wonderful way to spoil your favorite pooch!

Luxe Pet Hideaways

If you’re going to treat your pet to one of these, you might as well go all out, right? And don’t think cats are being left out of the fun. You have to see this creative cat bed table featured on Mouse Breath.

It has a miniature clock, little picture frames, and even a “do not disturb” sign. It’s just too cute.

For another simple DIY project, you could take a basic end table, like the one featured below, and just add some mini curtains around the inside corners. It transforms it into an amazing bed for your pet.

Creative DIY Upcycles

If you have an old end table just sitting around, this is for you. All it takes is prying off a few of the walls and maybe a fresh coat of paint to easily make a pet bed.

This one being sold on Etsy from VintageGoldFurniture was actually made from a 1970s hexagon end table. How cool is that?

Another super simple way to make a stylish dog bed is by taking one of those decorative wood storage pieces and turning it on its side. This example from DIY Network is just brilliant.

Diply had a ton of cool pet beds, but this one made from an old, hollowed-out television set really grabbed my attention! What a fun, retro vibe.

Over at Momma Told Me there are lots of great, colorful pictures of this old thrift store cabinet. It was turned into a super cute bed for a small dog, and it even has storage compartments.
