25 Gorgeous Color Palettes That Go with Yellow

One of my favorite ways to bring instant cheer into a room is with a pop of yellow. The morning light just seems to hit it perfectly and it makes the whole day feel brighter.
But I know it can be tricky to figure out what to pair it with to get just the right look. So today I’m sharing all of the details on my go-to color combos.
Gorgeous Grays
I have been talking endlessly about how much I love gray as a neutral, so I won’t go on about it again. But you guys, it’s just so good!
Gray is replacing white in homes everywhere, and when you mix it with a little yellow zest, it gives a space a super sophisticated and curated look that I just adore.
You can pair dark, deep shades of gray with lighter yellow hues, or you can flip it and use a soft, light gray with a rich, dark yellow. Either way, it’s a winning combination.
Oranges and Reds
This combination gives me all the feels of a beautiful sunrise or sunset. When you blend orange and reddish tones with yellow, you get so much warmth, energy, and a fiery passion in your space.
This is a totally different vibe from the other color pairs, and I have to admit, it can be a bit overwhelming if you don’t get it just right. It’s perfect for styles like traditional, Mediterranean, or eclectic.
Red and yellow are a duo that will truly never let you down. Orange and yellow, on the other hand, have a much more modern and urban appeal to them.
Beautiful Blues!
Okay, blue is a color that seriously never disappoints. And when you put it with yellow, it’s just stunning! The blue and yellow combination brings so much brightness to a room without being too over the top.
It feels modern, but it’s a pairing that works in a ton of different decorating themes and styles. I just love how both colors bring out the best in each other with so much flair!
Pretty in Pink
I know this doesn’t sound like an obvious mix at first, but pink and yellow are a delightful combination, especially in a little girl’s bedroom or in a shabby chic space with a contemporary twist.
You can use softer shades of yellow with hot pinks like fuchsia to create a blend where the pink is really the star.
Since both of these colors are usually used in smaller doses, you might want to start with a white room as your canvas for the experiment. Then once you feel good about the pairing, it’s much easier to branch out.
Gorgeous Greens
Green and yellow is another one of my favorite combinations that is just as appealing as blue and yellow and is totally inspired by nature. It reminds me of those pretty yellow flowers on green stems!
This energizing duo looks its absolute best when your room gets a ton of natural light. I find that darker shades of green usually work best with different yellow tones. They give you the right visual balance while also anchoring the room.
