How to Add a Splash of Pink to a Modern Bathroom

When we think of bathroom color schemes, I have to admit I am often intimidated by anything beyond the typical neutral palette. I have always used white or gray, but the color pink presents a whole new styling challenge.

While the space needs to feel relaxing, I also wanted it to look beautiful and unique. It took me a few tries to find a “formula” for using pink in a sophisticated way but I have finally cracked the code, so today I wanted to share with you some beautiful ways to style a pink bathroom.

Try Softer Tones

You don’t have to fixate on the hot pinks like fuchsia. Honestly, I love the idea of exploring the pastel route and embracing styles that go beyond just modern.

A bathroom in pastel pink feels so much more relaxing, and I think the color can easily take the place of the usual white or gray in the background. It creates such a serene feeling.

Design styles like shabby chic or farmhouse feel so elegant with a bathroom done in a soft pastel pink. You can even combine it with some brighter pinks to get a beautiful tone-on-tone look where pink really becomes the star of the show.

A Touch of Black

If there’s one color that truly brings out the best in pink, let me tell you, it’s black. It is without a doubt the perfect partner.

Using black accents and features in the bathroom really anchors the space, highlights its best qualities, and gives the pink a whole new level of energy.

A white, black, and pink combination is just a home run; it balances all the different elements so elegantly.

Those little pops of black can be introduced through door and window frames, sinks, vanities, or even a statement-making vintage bathtub as the room’s centerpiece.

Start with Accessories

Accents are your best friend here! This is seriously the easiest way to dip your toes in and try out a new color in the bathroom, and pink is the perfect candidate.

A gorgeous pink rug, some fuchsia shower curtains, towels in a pretty rose color, or even stripes in a vibrant flamingo pink. All you have to do is pick a shade of pink that you absolutely love and start small.

If you find you’re loving the color and feel like your bathroom could use even more, then you can take a bigger plunge into the power of pink.

A Pop of Pink on the Vanity

This is an idea that I think many people would have dismissed just a few years ago, but the colorful vanity has quickly turned into one of those “must have” items for a contemporary bathroom.

I think a big reason for this is the extensive use of neutral colors in modern bathroom design. Lighter shades of pink for the vanity tend to blend right in with the backdrop, while those with darker, brighter finishes instantly become a focal point.

Using the perfect mirror and lighting can really accentuate this feature and take it up a notch.

Pink and Blue Together

Do you still want to bring a little blue into your pink bathroom? That’s not a problem at all! In fact, colors like Classic Blue can be combined so easily with light pinks.

The balance between these two colors creates a bathroom that is so refreshing and energizing, and there is absolutely nothing dull about it! A mix of blue, pink, and a splash of white is really all you need for these bathrooms that really catch the eye.

Go Bold with Walls

If you’re ready to go all-in, the most obvious place to start is with the walls, and a can of paint is probably the most popular choice here.

Of course, for anyone interested in a more extensive makeover, you can turn to tiles as well, which I absolutely love. Pink and white is a very trendy choice that also feels really easy on the eyes.

You can create a pink accent wall or even tile the shower area in pink, pairing it with smart accents in the same color for a really well-curated look.
