Hi Friends! I’ve gotten so much love for my recent posts on color trends that I knew I had to make it a regular thing.

Today I’m sharing some of my absolute favorite terracotta rooms from around the web, and I’ve included everything from modern to eclectic.

Artistic & Collected

Is your home a mix of different styles? You don’t need one specific design look to see how amazing terracotta can be. In fact, having a collection of diverse decor can be the perfect stage for a terracotta moment.

This beautiful downtown loft, which used to be the home of Camille Styles Executive Producer Chanel Dror, has so many interesting pieces. I’m in love with the gray wall in the home office space, and how it works with those pops of peach and terracotta from that lovely rug.

Sometimes just one or two touches of terracotta are all it takes. Just like in the home office above, this little spot with a dark wall is the perfect way to show off terracotta pieces, like the Dual Floor Vase from ferm LIVING.

Moving from orange terracotta shades to the deepest blushes, this bathroom reveal from A Beautiful Mess founder Elsie Larson shows just how eclectic this color can be.

Golden touches, earthy baskets, perfectly chosen potted plants, and a vintage rug are a few of the details that make this room so special. Dusty blush curtains from West Elm are a beautiful complement to the terracotta notes in the rug.

Paper & Stitch Founding Editor, Art Director, and Stylist Brittni Mehlhoff gave the patterned half wall in her studio’s upstairs area a new coat of paint. The result is a rusty terracotta shade.

This change made way for so many fun new things. For instance, notice how every single terracotta pot looks like it was made for this space.

Going back to those orangey rust colors, this Dessert Plate with Perforated Rim from Zara Home can bring a little terracotta into your kitchen or dining area. It’s somehow feminine and earthy at the same time.

The perfect mix for a collected space! No terracotta touch is too little when you’re trying out this latest design trend.

Rich & Rustic

Finally, let’s look at the deep red side of the terracotta family, starting with this red brown round Plant Box from ferm LIVING.

There’s a terracotta shade for every design fan out there. If you are drawn to burgundies and reds, this one might be for you.

Don’t be afraid to layer and mix terracotta colors in your rooms. A deep red or rust is a rich partner for terracotta shades in the orange and blush families. At the bottom left, you can see one last ferm LIVING piece: the Sekki Pot in Rust.

Clean & Contemporary

From boho looks to modern vibes, let’s now focus on sleek, clean lined items and rooms that feature terracotta. Even the smallest details can add a contemporary feel, which is why I’m loving these Green Dots from CROWDYHOUSE.

In fact, these pots look like they are always moving, because of their semi conical base. Some of them even have a two tone look for a little contrast.

For a smaller bit of terracotta, you can choose the Pillowcase with Contrasting Sateen Border. It uses terracotta as a pop of color against a clean white background.

Zara Home is featuring a line of terracotta bedding right now, and the photos really play up the orange. Below is the Terracotta Sateen Duvet Cover with Piping, shown in a modern bedroom that proves less can be more with decor, but more is more when it comes to color!

Also from CROWDYHOUSE is this Star Suspension Lamp, which is made using a 3D printing method. A contemporary shape meets the beauty of clay. Perfection!

Bohemian Beauty

From the rug to the bedding, the warm colors are just so inviting and stunning. This is the master bedroom of Studio DIY founders Kelly and Jeff Mindell.

Even the wall art, which you can see below, is perfectly chosen and full of peachy pink touches. You can see the whole bedroom reveal here.

If you are a fan of the boho look, you have to check out Justina Blakeney’s Jungalow blog. Blakeney is also a product designer who has made so many amazing pieces, from wall art and tabletop items to pillows and rugs. How gorgeous is her Cielo Terracotta Rug?!

Terracotta can go with so many interior design looks, from modern to boho. There are so many amazing things in the bedroom below, you can’t see them all in one look!

It’s not a typical boho room, but there are lots of details that create a boho feeling, like the pom poms, tassels, and potted plants. Can you find all the different terracotta shades?

Speaking of pink shades, terracotta mixes so well with any kind of blush, and some terracotta colors are almost rosy.

This Tufted Dot Shower Curtain from Urban Outfitters adds the perfect amount of warmth to any bathroom. The textured border on the bottom gives the curtain that boho charm.

Scandi Style

Scandinavian design has included a lot of berry colors in the last few years, but this year, a bunch of earthy shades are coming back. There’s plenty of terracotta, and this photo of Hexagon Pots from ferm LIVING really shows the power of a beautifully painted accent wall.

Accent walls aren’t the only method for bringing terracotta into your Scandinavian design. Don’t forget about using interesting wall art! Abstract art with terracotta colors goes with a mix of modern vases below, also from ferm LIVING.
