I have been thinking so much about first impressions lately! Your front door is truly the first hello your home gives, and it can completely set the mood for everything inside. I love how a new style or a fresh pop of color can tell a story before anyone even steps through.

Choosing a design that complements your home’s exterior is such a fantastic upgrade. A case in point: a Midcentury door in a bold hue reinforces the fun vibes of that era, while steel and glass can create a modern look that is so timeless.

So today, I wanted to share some of the most inspiring front door ideas I’ve come across. We will look at everything from what’s popular right now to styles that will never go out of style. I hope you find some beautiful inspiration in the photos below!

Timeless Steel & Glass

I have to admit, there’s something about a steel and glass door that just stops me in my tracks. It has this undeniably modern feel, but in a way that is so classic and will stand the test of time.

I love that steel is super durable, and the way these doors can be made larger creates such a wow factor. It makes for the most grand entrance! When you have French doors, it is pretty hard not to be impressed.

The double door effect is nothing short of stunning. These gorgeous French doors are by Rehme Steel Windows & Doors:

Here is another one from Rehme Steel Windows & Doors. I love how this single door is surrounded by windows, which makes for such a grand entrance.

You will notice that glass and steel doors are frequently placed next to windows, showing off the beautiful craftsmanship and reinforcing that timeless modern style.

Below we can see the lovely steel door belonging to blogger and lifestyle expert Camille Styles. Isn’t it gorgeous?

Mid-century Modern Vibes

I am so drawn to the fun, vibrant look of Mid-century style doors. As more people have been lovingly restoring these modern homes, these doors have become so popular!

A door from this time period often needs a major upgrade if it has even survived. I just adore the bright colors you often see, from turquoise to orange and even lime green.

This vivid yellow door featured at Redneck Modern is just so striking against a mid-century home. I think the mix of clean architecture and radiant color is just perfection.

Below is one of Therma-Tru’s popular Pulse Doors, which was featured at All-Weather. They add so much personality!

Here is another Pulse door that has horizontal cutouts. I’ve noticed cutouts are a very popular feature on doors that capture that mid-century flair. Going for bold lines and colors is such a great choice with a huge payoff.

A Bold Pop Of Color

I think we can all agree that there is nothing quite like a freshly painted door to completely upgrade the look of your home. It’s such an easy change that makes a huge impact.

I think the classic, timeless paint colors like red, blue, and yellow are always a winning choice. Let’s look at some beautiful primary hues for inspiration! Valspar Dijon is the happy color on this yellow door from Painted Orange.

And then there’s blue. I know turquoise has been a super popular choice lately, but there’s just something about cobalt that will always feel so dreamy and stately. The door below highlights a project from Statwood.

Pretty In Pink

Oh my goodness, design bloggers really adore a pink front door! And for good reason. Every photo in this section actually features the doors of some of my favorite bloggers.

Millennial Pink has been a huge trend for a few years, and I think this peachy-pink hue has some serious staying power. Even if its popularity fades a bit, there is something so warm and appealing about a blush color.

Next up is the pink front door of A Beautiful Mess founder Elsie Larson. The color she chose is Noble Blush by Behr.

You’ll see that many of today’s doors are all decked out for the seasons. It’s the time when front door decor is featured on design blogs! It shows how beautifully a pink door can go with seasonal color palettes, like oranges for fall or greens for the winter holidays.

I just love the lovely pink on the door of Laura Gummerman, from A Beautiful Mess and The Band Wife. This was featured at A Beautiful Mess, and again, you can see how versatile this color is with seasonal decor.

Below is the front door of Sugar & Cloth founder Ashley Rose. This peachy take on pink is just so irresistible. The color is “Peach Mimosa” by Behr.

This coral pink just shines against the home’s blue color. The balloon garland makes it obvious a celebration is happening!

When you think of pink doors, do you like the peachy pinks, a coral shade, or something more like a traditional soft pink? This door was featured at A Beautiful Mess.
