22 Captivating Guest Bedrooms with Twin Beds

I’ve been dreaming up a little guest room refresh lately, and my search for inspiration led me to a look I just can’t get enough of: twin beds! Forget the standard queen bed for a minute.
Using a pair of twins is such a smart way to make the space work for any guests, not just couples. Plus, the symmetry is just so satisfying and opens up so many fun design possibilities!
I’ve gathered 22 beautiful guest bedrooms that I think are just heavenly and will make anyone feel totally welcome.
A Little Country Charm
You can have so much fun with the bedding choices. BHG shows off a pair of twin beds with adorable designs on the sheets and pillows featuring trees and owls. How sweet is that?
To give your country guest room a touch of elegance, have a look at these Legacy Home Hampton bed linens. You can find them at Horchow, and they are just beautiful.
Twin beds feel so quaint and comfortable when you lean into a country theme. I’m just so drawn to these incredible headboards from Favorite Paint Colors. So rustic and full of character!
Then again, why not keep it beautifully simple? These two beds have crisp white bedding from Crate & Barrel, set against a vibrant green wall that adds a fresh pop of color.
Statement Wall Art
Here’s another approach from Cote De Texas, which uses a mirror above a rustic dresser between the two beds. I love the pyramid-like arrangement of art hung above each bed.
And let’s be honest, mirrors can sometimes be an even better choice than framed artwork.
Look at these small but totally elegant round mirrors hung above each bed from Zsa Zsa Bellagio. And can we talk about that beautiful chandelier? Stunning!
When you place two twin beds against a wall, you create the perfect canvas for hanging some amazing art.
This room I found on Sabbe Spot shows that you don’t have to be perfectly symmetrical when hanging a gallery of different pieces!
Calm Coastal Vibes
You might find that placing twin beds side by side doesn’t work, depending on how small or oddly shaped the room is. I love this solution from Brit.co that solves the problem and adds extra storage too!
For a coastal look, you can have a blast with the decor. Go all in with sea-inspired art, pieces of coral, and a palette of blues and soft neutrals. Pottery Barn has these lovely sheets that would fit right in.
Using twin beds in a guest room is a perfect fit for a cottage or beach house. And what’s a better way to make it look incredible than to go with a beachy theme?
This room from Decorative Bedroom keeps things so fresh and white with just the right amount of sunny yellow.
House of Turquoise shows how to achieve more of a tropical feel, while Casa Tres Chic goes in another direction with a more masculine, nautical design.
Bright Pops of Color
Are you worried that a guest room with twin beds might feel a bit juvenile? There are definitely ways around that, and you can still play with color!
Go bright green with a few matching accent pieces, or try a vivid pink while keeping the bedding nice and simple!
Check out this sunny yellow room with white bedding from Carla Aston. Or you could go for blue walls with black bedding, like in this second example from HGTV.
Gorgeous Bed Frames
Just because they’re not king or queen-sized doesn’t mean you can’t splurge on some truly stunning bed frames.
These four-post beds with detailed wood carvings, featured on My Design Chic and HGTV, are just so elegant and eye-catching.
Bold Patterns and Textures
There are just so many possibilities when you play with patterns and textures in a guest room, and with two twin beds, you get twice the impact!
I love this example from Number Four Eleven, which has gold patterned curtains and pillows to match. I also was drawn to this incredible red and gray room from Amy Vermillion.
